    Folks

we have been looking for a car for the missus, alfa gt is top of the list but havent seen one that interests us for the past 3 weeks or so.

she is also interested in a nice mini, something in navy or cream. most important things are good condition, low mileage, nice colour and fsh.

ive seen this 'one' at frank keanes, the colour and the white roof appeal to her, but i reckon the spec is quiet basic.

she actually doesnt care much for leather seats, and the 15s have less chance of being scuffed, cheaper tyres and look nice for what they are, but is it missing anything inside that would be of importance?

    what think ye boardsies

I borrowed a girlfriends Mini One in the Uk and found it a fine car.it had aircon as far as I recall and everything else despitet it being the base model, did well on the MWay and on fuel. Excellent car i thought.

Since the recession hit, Skoda is the new Audi.

Aircon isn't standard even on the Cooper, so most don't.

I bought a very basic Mini last year, but I did stretch to a Cooper. The extra bhp is worth more than all that chili pack nonsense.

If there is nothing missing that makes it sale proof in the future & she likes it then I think you're covered.
My personal preference would be leather, sports seats, panoramic sunroof, 17' 8 spoke alloys, 3 spoke multi function steering wheel, etc. But that is my preference not your OH.
Have you thought about UK to source?

If the Mrs likes it, its in your budget then who cares?

I wouldnt take the opinion of boards.ie posters as gospel, if that was the case we would all be driving Skoda's.

Knowing Frank Keanes and BMW dealers in general, there is a fairly high possibilty that this car was sourced in the UK...

that's pretty much it, my o/h bought a new one in 2008 and ended up paying close to €32k despite my unwelcome advice:rolleyes:

but she's happy with it so who cares

I don't care what excuses the usual people on here will try to make, 11k for a five year old MINI is utter nonsense!
