Paddy Power has stated on national radio that he will cut any accounts that dare to win.

Go to victor chandler mate. Terrific price promise offer at the moment.

yeah powers are scum. they'll willingly take all you money on a donkey bet no problem there..but when you're account is winning they'll block every bet you make. go for betfair.

Powers and everone else in the industry. If you get shut down, take it as a compliment and organise an account in a different name. Getting on is part of the challenge to win against the fixed odds bookmakers.

The following bookies have closed or heavily restricted accounts of mine:

    Boyles
    Lads
    Powers
    Bet365
    Victor Chandler
    William Hill
    Totesport
    Sportingbet
    Bwin
    Extrabet
    PC Sports
    Brucebetting
    Canbet
    Bluesq/888
    Corals
    Skybet.

Stan James are the only account still laying me on a winning account in my own name. I'm sure others can come on and tell you of accounts shut by Stans too though.

Paddy powers are probably the worst out there remember being refused 40 misserable euro on a golfer in a major.
Boyles not much better, once the see you backing horses that come in in the betting they don't want to know you.
But there are plenty of options out there, different firms, try different names, my misses has had accounts closed and she would know a horse from a cow.
One tip I find that helps is try and not take money out if you can, say for eg. You win a few grand most firms will hope to get that back and continue to lay you to a certain extent, but if you are continually taking money out after a nice win they know they won't get it back.

Jesus I had no idea they were allowed ban customers who are too successful - they certainly don't advertise that fact and it seems to prove the saying '' the bookies never lose ''.

I very rarely gamble and what I know about gambling would fit under a flies foreskin - if I was winning ' excessively ' at my local bookies ( Ladbrokes ) are they allowed to refuse my bets ?
I think I read an interview with the Channel 4 racing commentator John McCririck where he said that he was banned by several well-known but unidentified bookmakers.

Guy went up against Paddy Power (himself) on Talk Te Joaw, recently.

He got no satisfaction. At the end of the day, bookies will take your shekels all day long, they're in it for the bottom line-most of the smaller ones end up laying off on the exchanges anyway, so it's win win.

My main point is that every bookmaker does it. It's part of the game.

I bet on sports, mainly cricket and athletics with a lot of rugby too. The odd bet on boxing and a couple of other sports thrown in there too. I never arb.

I wasn't winning on all those accounts. I posted before that the Bet365 one was closed down after 3 bets, all of which lost so maybe i was down 1800 euro on that one. I don't have the figures with me so off the top of my head, the Corals and the Extrabet accounts were losing too.

PC Sports** closed me after 2 bets and Totesport holds the record for closing me after 1 bet. Obviously i hadn't won any significant amount of money after so few bets.

Boyles have the record for number of accounts shut down with 5 of my accounts and a ban from a shop.

Stan James is actually my best account with a sports bookmaker. They keep laying me because they have a trading policy of taking opinions and sticking to them. They recognise I'm not arbing and as such are happy to take me on. If every company did this it would be great.

The other thing to note is that I bascially never bet on horses. This means no bad each way racing bets whihc are chronic at getting accounts closed.

**A Galway indo with a phone serice if you don't know it, great GAA bookmaker.
