Do Aer lingus flights to the states use U.S immigration at Dublin ?

    Question as it says on the tin.

    I recall that they are not using the full clearance at shannon as they want to wait untill the full clearance facility is open in Dublin but think they still use the US immigration centre there.
    Am I right?

    Also any idea when the full clearance facility starts in Dublin?

    please tell me it hasn't to wait for Terminal 2 to open?

    Yes preclearence will only be available once T2 is open and at the moment the airlines haven't signed up to use it 100%.
    All flights departing Ireland before 16.00 will clear immigration in dublin
