does amazon uk ship electronic goods to ireland?

    third party sellers don't, amazon themselves do. So you're both right.

    Certainly, they didn't a couple of years ago. After the Irish govt introduced the WEEE system. That is, there was no way for the retailer (Amazon) to include €1 for a hairdryper or whatever and get said €1 back to the govt coffers.

    Maybe they've come to some arrangement in the interim? I'm gonna try to order something. Hang on.

    Yeah they do, they changed about a year ago. I got a good few electrons goods from them. Some item they won't, like big plasma TVs. But stuff like MP3s and consoles, no problem. Some third party sellers won't ship here though.
