Dry skin- need foundation and moisturiser

I have really dry skin, all flaky on my cheeks and nose. I haven't ever really had this problem before, I think the really cold weather kicked it off and I just haven't been able to sort it out since. Most days I don't wear makeup because I am lashing aqueous cream on to face a few times throughout the day- it doesn't seem to be helping though. So I need a good moisturiser for during the day with SPF and then maybe a thicker one to wear at night. Anyone have the same experience as me and know of some good products?

SO, I used to use Prescriptives foundations and was gutted to hear they went out of business. I got some cheap Loreal foundation then which is awful. Can anyone recommend a good foundation that is specifically for dry skin?

I'll pay a good bit for something decent.

I use the Decleor Hydra Floral Anti Pollution Moisturising Cream and find it amazing.

When I ordered it from Salon Skincare, they gave me a free 5ml tube of the night-time cream (I can't remember what it was called though, but it was in a yellow tube) and I found it good.

try to moisturise from the inside - so start taking the omega oils (primrose oil or linseed or fish oils).
also, i found argan oil from morrocco very good. its supposed to to help the berber women cope with the harsh effects of the desert on their skin.

That cream is really expensive, is it definitely worth it? also it doesn't have SPF
Did you buy it online because it was cheaper that way?

+1 for this. Also make sure to drink plenty of water. Central heating wreaks havok on skin, so try not to have the heating on all day (easier said than done these days!)

I found Roc moisturisers good when my skin is really bad during the winter, and just use an Oil of Olay one (with SPF) the rest of the time. I also lash on moisturiser at night, when no one has to look at me!

Personally, I believe it is worth it. I wouldn't have recommended it otherwise, lol.;):D

I bought it online because at the time when I bought it, no shops/chemists etc in my town sold it.

    Edit

I just saw the OP is looking for something with an SPF, I missed that part when I first read the post.

I got a sample of it and i did really like it but am still debating, especially as it doesn't have SPF. I've suddenly become very aware of the whole aging thing;) am scared of getting wrinkles:eek:
