    Hi lads,
Is this good for streaming stuff from a laptop say to a media streamer or to a PS3? How exactly does it all work?? Have heard about them but not 100% sure I understand the whole thing.

    Cheers,
    M

I don't use mine for streaming but the speeds should be quite good better than most wireless connections. I hd mine for about a year and never had any problems with it.

The way it works is you connect the 2 to he power supply, from the base unit you connect a cable to the Router and in the 2nd unit you connect the network cable to the PC, Laptop, etc 1st time you might need to configure them to talk to each other.

These homeplugs actually have two ports.... usually they have just one, so very good deal IMO. i bought these at the weekend for £40, then they went back up to £68, and now back down at £40 again.

Completely off topic i know, But when you say yur linking your satellite box to your router do you mean a sky box? Why would you wanna connect that to your home network?

No not a sky box, its an Azbox Elite and has a wired ethernet port which is too far away from my router.

    Very good price.

Not to be pimping my ad or anything (:p), but I'm selling an as-new wireless extender which would marry to this perfectly and give you a wireless network in addition to the wired homeplug network (i.e. wired for game consoles, wireless for streaming/general internet access).

Got mine yesterday. It has 4 ports. Great deal and works well. Had a dodgy wireless connection but no problem now. I assume I can buy more for around the house.
