Just to let anyone who's interested know, Harvey Normans in Mullingar are selling this Revo N230 for 189 euro.

    2GB DDR2 RAM
    160 GB HDD
    nVidia Ion chipset
    Atom processor N230 1.6GHz
    6X USB PORTS, 1 X HDMI
Integrated nVidia GeForce 9400m Video card
    Vista Home Premium

I know some people who have done wonders with these little machines, worth a look for anyone interested or int he area.

quite easy, but will void your guarantee as you need to broke seal to have cover removed

you can always use external hard drive, especially with esata connector (it is no different than connecting to sata, and what is more important it gives you larger, cheaper and faster drives to choose from)

Is it exclusive to the Mullingar branch?

How is the HD playback on this? I note it uses the older Ion chip set. Has anyone tried it with .MKV files?

    Cheers,

for an extra €20 get the R3610 - which has the superior dual core atom and save yourself HD streaming headaches.

only prob is it comes with command line linux so a little fooling around is required to set it up with windows!

It goes by the serial number of the machine so when you enter the number it find's out what os was preloaded on it, So if you have linux it won't work.
