    Buy a 22lr :p

Seriously though ...... shot size 4, 32-36 grain, and hit 'em on the run.....................great shooting.

No 6 I used to use back in the day, a tight choke too as to get the best out of range.

But as the lads said ; .22lr or up and you will get way more rabbits.

If you want to eat or give to old people to eat (as I do) lead in meat can damage fillings just to say the least :D
My first bunny buster was a Baikal 12g side by side.
But when i got a rifle I never bothered shooting rabbits with shotgun any more.
Plus people give out if you leave wads and casings all over the place, SO PICK THEM UP ;)

Agree with Bunny, a 22lr or something similar be way more suitable and less frustrating to get close enough. In fact more economical too as 50 22lr rounds can be got for as little as 5.50 i think and 25 12G 4s are about 7 euro unless you're getting clay cartrigdes in bulk:D 22lr is a joy for rabbits, good fun. Aint been shootin them in years though as they are no longer in my general area. Plenty of hares alright but i let them be.

I shoot em all year round. since i got the .22 im going out every second day to one of my permissions. before it was shotty with the ferrets. Find yourself a raised sniping spot downwind of the warren and just shoot them as they come out then do a body check when the day is done. great way to catch the occasional fox too.

with shotty i used 4 or shot as you have a few extra yards of killing range with it. This along with full choke and you should be sorted
