Sore teeth

Hi, I'm 14 and I have sore teeth. I went to the dentist about 2 weeks ago and she said that it's because of overcrowding (mine are quite overcrowded) and the only way to fix it is braces to even them out. However, mine aren't bad enough for braces except the bottom front two teeth which are causing the pain. Plus it's expensive and I'll always have a retainer etc.
After the dentist, the pain went away for a while. All of my teeth were sore, not just two. Now, my front two teeth are really quite sore (Beginning to think it's karma for cancelling my hygienist the other day :p). I had two small cups of orange juice the other day (Rarely have it) so I think it may have been caused by that but I'm not sure.
I brush using an extra soft brush and Sensodyne.
    Any suggestions?

    what's making them painful?
    do you smoke?
    do your gums bleed?

you're a tad on the young side for a hygienist so i'd say it's more your gums that are causing the pain than your teeth.

Don't smoke. Dentist said it was overcrowding and to leave it a while and if it's bad to go back. I had pain in all my teeth for a while but that stopped and then my two front teeth became sore. It could just be sensitivity either, ice cold water does hurt more now.
I'm going to the hygienist (HSE one) to find out how to brush and floss correctly etc, dentist said I'm probably brushing too hard.

    Hi there

Crowding doesnt make your teeth sore. If they are sore when you have hot and cold then it could be hypersensitivity. Sensodyne or any of the sensitive tooth pastes work well for this but you need to use them for a while.

If you are not cleaning well and attending the hygienist to help with brushing and flossing then you might have a gum infection. It could also be a cavity but I presume that as you saw the dentist recently, that you dont have any tooth decay.

Yeh, the dentist said my teeth were in good condition just there's a tiny amount of plaque on one tooth.

    Thanks ballsymchugh for the link.
