Vito central locking problem

Since the recent cold weather hit us, I've been having a problem with my central locking, ie. it refuses to work unless the van has been running about 10mins and has warmed up
I have to use the small emergency key to gain entry from the passenger side, put the fob in the ignition and turn, so i can use the button on the dash to open the rest of the doors.
Once i start the engine and leave running/drive for about 10 min's its fine.
I've replaced the batteries in the fob but no luck.
    Any ideas...??
