Sky shared dish connection fee - Finlays??

    Hi,

I recently moved house in to an apartment complex (Seabrook Manor, Portmarnock) which uses a shared dish system. I have brought my Sky boxes with me and the entire apartment complex has been fully wired to receive sky, however I get no signal when I connect the box. I have been informed by the 3rd party installer, Finlays, that in order to connect my apartment there is a €215 connection fee!!! They are saying it's a fibre cable so the cost is higher, which I find to be absolute nonsense. I have had multiple conversations with several Sky departments (and even installation engineers) all of which told me that the standard charge should only be €77, and this even includes erecting a dish and all cabling.

As far a i'm aware with the shared dish, everything is ready to go, all TV points have been installed in the apartment and I assume all that needs to be done is to simply connect my apartment to the satellite feed.

I contacted Finlays again and informed them that Sky had quoted a standard fee of €77 and told them I was willing to pay this recommended fee, but they basically don't want to know about it. I have lodged a complaint with Sky about this and told them if they can't sort out this ridiculous fee i'll be cancelling my subscription.

Just wanna know if anyone had the same experience with this crowd and if so did they get it sorted??
