Trouble Connecting?

    Playing MW2 fine up until last night when all of a sudden I couldn't get into any games.

    When I join a game it just says "Waiting...." then after a few seconds it says "Finding Best Host...1...2...3" once it hits 7 I get "Game Lobby Closed".

    This happens repeatedly when I try to join any game type, my NAT is open too..

    anyone have any ideas?

    I would have thought the NAT at first....

    I get this on the odd time, I have NTL/upc 10 wireless connection. I had to directly connect to the router as my wireless receiver wouldnt work (it had before in another house).

    Lately xbox live bums out on 3 or 4 times a night...its really frustrating, last night i was playing awful and i got to scrapyard FFA and cleaned up, 3 mins to go or "CANNOT CONNECT TO XBOX LIVE"

    if you're getting this on occasion along with unable to connect to a game it may possibly be NTL

    I'm on Eircom and I'm connected using ethernet... seriously strange

    Got a game of S&D there so maybe things are picking up, will have to try again after work tonight.

    someone said here a while back take out your mic and it improves the chances of a game. EVERY time i've got the finding best host etc message and i take out the mic it goes straight into a game dont know why but it works for me

    Any chance this works when you are trying to get a game as a party?

    As in, you have 5-6 of you lined up in a party, and are sitting there for 2 mins waiting for the other slots to fill up. Considering how many times people get dumped into games that are already started, you wouldn't think this would happen much. But we find that regularly when you are starting off, it can take ages to make up a full lobby.

    I wonder if this would help if the party leader tried this trick. Probably not, but maybe someones tried it....
