Urgent help..playstation network

    hi folks.i need help in connectiong my PS3 to the internet..
    till last week i used to get it connected through the custom setting and entering eircom username and password and i used to get NAT type 1..

    i got my eircom connection upgraded to 24 Mbs but i cant get it connected by the old way, when i check the internet connection test it says failed to get the IP address..

    when i choose easy setup it gets connected but it gives me NAT type 3..

    i called eircom as i was wondering whether they changed the username and password but they said no..

    so any ideas...

    it just fails after so long happened me and a million others here, time to throw away the netopia, its doesnt work, i could tell you keep trying, for me it got to a point when one in 20 trys it would connect, but then stop again, problems solved when i bought a decent d-link router with dmz option

    but it connects when i use easy setup option..but wudnt connect at all when i try to do it through the username and password for eircom..

    i have the new dodgy looking modem from eircom and the same thing happens..

    will formatting the PS3 helps...and do u think buying a new modem will solve d problem...thx

    Connected directly to router for NAT1 is the same... make sure you discover it again... and enter all the details again... eircom@eircom.net broadband1

    sometimes it fails on me and I just have to try again, or even switch on and off the console and reenter the login and password!

    i have been doing this for the last 48 hrs...more than 40 trials...

    but before all this happened i was playing PES online and then the ps3 hanged so can it be related..?
