    Hi,

I'm looking for some advice on what to purchase. I'm looking for a set of headphones (over the ear) that are lightweight, comfortable and provide a good quality sound. I've looked at a few places on line but there are just so many available that I don't really know where to start. Ideally I'd like to come out of this thread with a couple of options. It might also be worth noting that I'm based in the US so I may have more options available to me.

    Thanks.

Koss PortaPros are well regarded, and are great value (I got my last pair for 17 pounds stirling off amazon)
Sennheiser PX100s have a good reputation aswell.

I have used both (currently using Koss PortaPros) and when buyign would just get whatever is cheaper at the time.

Thanks for the response, just to add, I would prefer to have my ears covered and having good noise cancellation without having to use a really loud volume.

If they are for use in a noisy environment, there are over the ear headphones with active noise cancellation circuits that will very greatly reduce the level of outside noise that penetrates the earphones, thus allowing you to listen at lower volume levels than otherwise.

I'm also in the market for over the ear noice cancelling headphones in the price range of €50-€125.

    What would you recommend?

THese are magical little things, so much better than earphones for the price.
