I've only played Ballyliffin but it's a great course if that's any use to you. beware if it's windy though.

I'd go for the Dunluce course at Portrush.

I'd also add Castlerock as an option.

Glasheddy at Ballyliffin is an excellent modern track. Think they have just done a lot of work on bunkers to make it even more testing. The Old Course (upgraded by Faldo a few years ago) is a classic links. I would stay in Ballyliffin lodge and play both courses. Some good deals via the hotel. The craic would also be better over in Ballyliffin.

+1 for staying at Ballyliffin lodge. Stayed there with the wife a couple of years ago and was well impressed. Still holds the title in best icecream catagory at the resturant there.

We have found a supervalue geatway hotel which we're going for as the missus doesn't golf and likes spas etc. Think I'll give Ballyliffen a go. Thanks!

Anyone played the Tullamore Dew, (formerly Bushmills), Causeway Coast Classic. Four days golf over 5 days with free golf on your rest day. Courses are:
    Castlerock - Great course
The Valley @ Portrush - Good course
    Portstewart - Great course
Ballycastle - weaker than the others.

    Cost £180 - great value.

I have been playing/competing in the Black Bush Golf Tournament now sponsored by Tullamore Dew for the last 27 years!! So it most be a great event if I haven miss a tournament week in that time.
It is a fantastic weeks golf over some of the best links courses anywhere in Ireland and the UK. Golfers come from all over the world to play in it and you get to make great friends for the week. The craic is great in the Anchorage BAR in Portstewart for the whole week and Kellys's Hotel Disco on the Wednesday night has some of the most beautiful birds anywhere in Ireland. Back to the golf, you can play all the other courses free in the evenings after your finished your round as all the courses are near by.
I am bringing 12 of my friends from Castlebar G.C. again this year. They have not missed a year since 1991.
If your looking for a place to stay check out CromoreHalt Inn in Portstewart. Food good and keep a late bar.
Finally when you step up on the 1st tee in Poststewart G.C. you will never forget the experience....it must be the best opening hole in golf anywhere in the world . Can't wait for June 2010.

Agreed MacD it is a great week of golf etc. This year will be our fourth year going up and believe me it is a hell of a drive from the Deices so it has to be good. Played with some of your group from Castlebar a couple of years ago.
One of the highlights is always the visit to the pub in Bushmills on the way back from playing Ballycastle. We are planning to take the ferry over to play Ballyliffen on our rest day this year. Love the Anchorage but wouldnt be gone on Kellys though the ladies are certainly spectacular.

Have only played Ballyliffin (Glashedy) from that list but by god it's a hell of a golf course. Couldnt recommend it highly enough. My only disapointment playing there was that I didnt have time to play the old course, but ill be back.

Even though I havnt played the other two on the list I know they are very highly regarded, especially Portrush which is ranked as one of the best courses in the world, and are on my "to do" list next time im up that way.

Could you not fit two courses into the one day?:D
