    Hi All,
I've been thinking of setting myself up as a publisher and was wondering if anyone out there had any experience about this? What do you need to do? Is it the same as setting up a company?
Any tips/feedback would be very welcome.
    Thanks,
    B.

Do you have any experience of publishing? Have you even had a summer job working in a publishing company? If not, it's a great way to lose a huge chunk of money. One book, for an average sized print run, costs about €80,000 to €100,000 to produce, and may well be higher by now. If you produce a book that doesn't sell, you've just tossed all that money away.
