Wrong card for set top box on Ch 5 group only

    After working perfectly for 3 months my $kyplus box with $ky freesat card as of yesterday is now showing 'This is the wrong card for this set top box' when I try to access Ch 5, Fiver, Five USA.

    I am in Germany and the box and card were purchased legitimately in UK and set up (paired?) by Sky in the UK at a relative's house. The system has worked without problems in Germany for 3 months.

    I have tried unplugging the box for 3 mins and restarting and also leaving the box switched on overnight.

    Any ideas or advice please?

    White - purchased direct from Sky in December 2009

    Should work. Did you have the box switched off at the mains for a period of time I wonder? If so, your card may have missed a "keep alive" signal periodically sent by Sky to keep the cards active. I'd say continue to leave the box on overnight with either Sky 3, FiveUSA or Fiver selected. These are the FTV channels the card allows you to watch (plus Five itself in certain regions of the UK).

    Never unplugged from mains - I'm in Germany and usually get 5, Fiver and Five USA but have never been able to get Sky 3 or any of the Sky programs - we only got the card to allow us to receive the '5' group of channels cos we get everything else (All BBCs, all ITVs, Ch 4 etc) without it

    We are still getting all of the other channels just lost these three

    has the regionalisation changed?
    Have you taken out, gently cleaned with a soft cloth and reinserted correctly the card? (ie.right way round, right way up and in the correct slot)
    what message do you get when to try to watch 105 (C5)
    is C4+1 still showing at 135?
    this info may help point out the problem
    you could add/watch C5 as an 'other channel' whilst you sort out this problem

    Baffling me with science now!!!!! How would I know about the regionalisation?????Nothing else has changed - still getting Ch 4+1

    Hooray!!!! Just went to check on the exact wording of the message and they are back!!!!!!

    Thanks for responding - don't know what happened but it's righted itself after 36 hours so maybe a transmission problem?

    BTW - have tried entering other channels which I know are FTV but nothing happens - I go to services - system set up - add channels - type in the frequency and press select - but no change or addition - should I being doing something else?

    I have the same issue but have a blue card. :(

    I wonder is the card gone? Bought it with the sky box off eBay.

    I think the blue cards were being phased out but you need to speak with someone with more experience than me - I bought mine in December and it's my first foray into satelitte - lol!

    All Blue cards now switched off. That message comes up on a white card when its missed its keep alive signal.
