Your personal stories of the incompetant health service

Misdiagnosed xrays, misdiagnosed mammograms, incompetant doctors... the list goes on. I personally am sick of the health service, and awaiting appointments and treatment that takes months, and having to resort to threatening doctors to actually get some sort of treatment or help.
I am lucky in a way, I don't have any family members or relatives or friends that have died as a result of incompetant doctors, or xrays etc. I was wondering if people would like to share their own stories about their experiences of the health service, or the stories of their loved ones that are no longer with us....
