Citroen Xsara van abs light problem

    Hello,
    hopefully someone here might have had the same or similar predicament as me.

    Our Xsara car-van's wheel bearing went so I ordered a second hand axle from traynors. After swapping over the brakes to the 2nd hand axle theres an abs light on in the dash.
    The reason for this is the port for the abs was either not on the 2nd hand axle that we bought or the other one couldnt be taken out.

    So just wondering does anyone know if there is a mechanic around these parts that has the machine/computer to turn off this light instead of going into the dealers to get it done for an arm and a leg?

    Cant pass the D.O.E test with light on.

    if you disconnect the battery it will allow the system to reset itself, if its a recuring fault the computer may not be able to keep the light off , you could remove the bulb
