Did you get a list of essay titles to choose from?

I have applied for 3, had an interview for the general arts degree last week and think it went well so I am confident that I got a place on that one.

Also applied for the specialised degree in Anthropology which came with a letter similar to yours saying 'we are unable to give further advice regarding the essay'.

The other one was Social Science and the questions are

    1) Why do you consider studying for a degree in Social Science is important for you at this point?

    2) What is your understanding of poverty in Ireland today? What would you identify as possible responses?

    3) What social issues do you find particularly interesting or challenging and that you would like to explore or study in the years ahead?

I reckon you will get the first question with your chosen subject inserted in no matter which degree you apply for.

I gave the anthropology department a ring earlier on to see could if i could get more info on the exam on saturday. All they said was that it will be an essay which we will have 45 minutes to write. The subject will be broad and not something one could study for.. Perhaps "1) Why do you consider studying for a degree in xxx is important for you at this point?" would be a good starting point alright.
