Couple of us hoping to do a spin around Rathdrum/Aughrim/Drumgoff tomorrow or Friday. Anyone any idea what the roads are like around there these mornings?

I know there are potholes everywhere but I was more wondering about frost etc.

I drove from Rathdrum through Laragh and Enniskerry back to Dublin this evening and the roads seemed fine. Passed a couple of cyclists too. No guarantees though. I'd say they could be frosty in the morning.

Don't know what time your heading out but I was out around rathdrum/laragh/roundwood yesterday and sunday for a spin about 11am and no problems at all at that time of the morning.

Leave it till about 11 and let the sun get at it, just watch the shaded areas.

Thanks all. Ended up flying solo and took the easy option northwards by the coast. Might try it tomorrow or early next week.

    Thanks again

Road to Sally Gap from Killakee fine. Descent to Kilbride fine. Kippyre usual gravel and small bit of snow but fine otherwise.
