For what it's worth, I just cancelled my TV sub with UPC last week.

Relatively poor picture, rubbish box that keeps freezing and jumping to the info channel (non HD box), and awful customer service.

Apparently the HD service and box is quite good though, if you're an area that can get it.

Can't fault their broadband service but feeling good about cancelling the TV sub.

UPC's HD box is a huge step forward from the old Pace Scart UPC boxes. And price wise its a better deal than Sky because you get a taste of HD & HD recording for €25 per month which is quite good. This includes BBC HD. I think that the equivalent Sky package is over €40 per month.
Although if you want Sky Movies and Sky Sports in HD, UPC don't offer that for now. BBC Interactive is also missing from the UPC package.
