On TV, Saturday night. No teams yet, Cork should win considering Tyrone's horrible league form so far.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit if Tyrone were to sneak a win.Its been long overdue for them to beat Cork in the league never mind the championship.Cork don't travel well up north.Remember Monaghan and Cavan.

Sean Cavanagh and Philip Jordan would be big boosts for Tyrone and maybe even Dooher if he is fit.Tyrone's backs are against the wall and for that reason along with a small measure of revenge,I think they'll play better than they have done in the last 3 rounds. If a complacent Cork show up,Tyrone might clinch those 2 points. The crowd in Omagh may also be very volatile towards Cork so this won't be easy.

I remember us beating Monaghan three weeks ago 'up north'. Your talking about two completely different Cork teams really, we've improved hugely over the past two years.

    TG4 or setanta?

    I dont have setanta :(

I don't think Cork wold be that uncomfortable travelling north. Decent showing against Monaghan although conceded a bit. And also needs to be considered how Cork took Tyrone apart in AI last year and, as mentioned, Tyrones poor league showing so far.

This should be a good game but Cork have forwards that currently will outscore Tyrone's. Cork by 4 points.

Cork on current form, and indeed on overall quality, for me.

Tyrone have lots to motivate them, Cork don't. Sean Cavanagh could give Shields a very bad day.
Cork can afford to lose one game and still make the final, i think this will be the one they lose.

The drive to Tyrone is a very very long one - thats motivation enough!

cork are hammering them and should be out of sight at this stage. They've scored 7/8 points on the trot and hit the crossbar with an open goal gaping. tyrone look hopeless to be honest and cork really looking ominous.

Just as I post the above Tyrone have scored 1-1. Briliant lob from colm kavanagh. 1-9 1-5 cork

cork probably regretting that open goal miss because on 54 mins its 2-8 v 0-14 very even game now.

    60mins Cork 16 Tyrone 3-8

Cork defence continues to look suspect.

Tyrone have not really played well and you wouldn't really pick them out as All-Ireland favourites on the basis of this performance. Aside from the concession of the goals Cork performance has been a lot better.

    Another point for Tyrone.

Tyrone shade it 3-9 to 0-16.

Donncha o'Connor getting a stupid straight red for a swing at a Tyrone player.

Cork should have killed tyrone off but lacked the ruthless edge while Tyrone did well to win but a lot of improvement to do.

Sean Cavanagh making a welcome return to inter county football. The commentator suggested he had a falling out with Harte, was that as a result of the book and the semi final no show?

    FT 3-9 Tyrone Cork 0-16

The 2 goals and a point Cork conceeded in a three minute period before half-time won the game for Tyrone.

O'Connor deservedly sent off in injury time for stirking on McGuigan.

Third goal was an awful messy effort with some very bad defending from Cork.
I think there was 2 Tyrone players versus 5 Cork players.

Cork will have worries about the switch-off period and the defence.

Tyrone didn't really play well, were fortunate enough with the goals but were stereotypically stubborn.

Yup - Harte reportedly said in January he hadn't talked with Sean Kavanagh since the before the semi loss. Wouldn't think their personal relationship is all that great - would say it's okay for the moment but might spark up if things don't go well this summer.

Cheers. And why exactly was Sean dropped did Harte say? ( i wasn't in the country at the time so didn't hear much about it)

Sean didn't feel fully fit and seemed more like he chose not to play himself.
He said it was a sudden onset of flu while Harte seemed to suggest that nerves/ pressure got to him in his book.

Very strange one really - still don't know what to make of it and I think that's an opinion shared by a lot of Tyrone folk according to a lad from outside Omagh I know.

I think they will be fine working together in a professional sense but I don't think there's any great relationship there - will be interesting one to keep an eye on.

Inexcusable defeat. My local Under-12 team would have been embarassed by those ****ing goals.

Having watched the highlights Cork should have won the game, but for some sloppy finishing in front of goal. They should have had a couple of goals, with their tally of points they would have been out of sight. Very bad couple of goals conceeded but it might be a lesson Cork needed to learn. This team has had problems putting teams away in the past, those problems still exist, and it cost them dearly, hopefully they will learn from it. The defence needs to tighten up considerably. 16pts is a good score to put up away to Tyrone, it wasn't all bad!

A two point defeat AWAY to the second most successful championship team of the last decade is "inexcusable"?! Of the three goals Cork conceded I would say that only one of them was truly a shocker.

Cork could have won this one and they played very well in parts but a Tyrone side at home, hungry for league points, has always been a tough proposition.

Cork threw it away, but rather learn the lessons now then in Championship.

Overall Cork were better side and I felt there was much more improvement in them then Tryone.

No harm for Cork get kick up backside:)

Tyrone were dreadful, we were seven points up at one stage and gave away two hilariously bad goals - inexcusable seems fair enough, they just threw it away. I've no doubt Counihan will be apopletic after the match, and rightfully so.
