    Lads,

I recently imported a car from north and got new reg number for Dublin, Is it possible to re-use the old reg plate which is having UK number on it...to override it with the new reg number?

Not a hope. You will have to be issued with standard Dublin plate

You will need to get a new set of number plates made up, they cost about €25-€30 for a pair.
You can get them in a motor factors, most car sales garages or Halfords.
You can affix them to the car with screws or double sided (spongy) tape.

I just visited fancyplates.com, they are quite cheaper, for basic set of plates (front and rear) they are charging €7.5 euro each, total €15!
