I'm just looking for a bit of quick info here, I am looking for a recurve for my 10 year old son but I dont know what size to look for, he is average size and strength for his age. I will get the exact measurements next week at the club but I am just browsing for now and would like to know what size is in his range.
Can anybody recomend a good bow for him, he wants a metallic riser instead of a wooden one which is limiting my search.

The kap prostyle would suit him fine then i'm sure its aluminium. I'd say limbs for 62 inches would be good with about 20 pound limbs but not all sellers do 62 inch bows though. I'd imagine he could manage a 64 inch bow.

The prostyle is down the end of this page

The limbs for the riser neednt be kap ones smaick polaris fit the same.

Ideally once you have his draw length you'd get his bowlength from that. His bowlength may be shorter than 62 but it may be tricky to get shorter bowlengths. With a 4 inch bow It would always last longer :pac:
