    Hi,

I hope this is OK in this forum as its aimed at a topic for startup business? )please feel free to move to correct thread)

    Anywho...

Basically, just got my company registered via CRO so need to get a business account setup. So far, the only advice I was given is try to avoid your own personal account (for me is BOI). I think the only reason for this advice was just to keep business and personal separate, nothing against BOI :)

So I was wondering if anybody who has setup a business account for a small business, which would you suggest, is there any perks betweek banks, incentives etc...

At the moment I can only think of :

    AIB
    Ulster
    Permanent TSB
    Bank of Ireland
    (not Halifax anymore!)

Is there any I missed? There not many options!

Any advice or tips appreciated :D

If i were you i'd interview them all and find out which bank manager will work hardest for you.

Another reason to avoid Bank Of Ireland is their account application form. When I was setting up a business account a year ago I went to BOI first - but on their account application form they were looking for a full list of all the personal assets and bank balances of all directors. I thought this to be a bit strange - I can understand why they would look for this on a loan application form maybe if personal guarantees were required, but on an account application form for a limited company?

I went to AIB and their application form was very straight forward.
