    where would one go to get a new zip put onto a jacket?that is all

    I got it done once it a small clothes fixing place (?!) just up from The Bierhaus. I remember it was steep enough (around €15) but they did a good job and cheaper than a new jacket.

    most dry cleaners will do it, but any alterations shop.

    Theres a place across from the hole in the wall that does zippers. I had a good result, but can't remember the price
