A friend owes me €150 for products I purchased for him from a third party. That was over one year ago, and I have been advised to draft a civil summons on the courts.ie website, but there are loads of them. Which one should I use?

    Thanks,
    S.F

Do you really want to bring a 'friend' to court over €150 or is this person no longer a 'friend' ?

I'd say definitely an ex-friend, who obviously wasn't much of a friend in the first place:eek:.

I'm not sure if this is appropriate here - I'm going to try the Legal Discussion forum

One very useful tool is the law society civil litigation manual /book available in bookshops; it has a much more detailed explanation for all the forms and how to file them. However it is not a step by step guide although there are some examples and is anything but that easy to follow some parts.

It does highlight a different form for securing money that is owed rather than for a cause of action I vaguly recall. Worth investing in or stopping in Waterstones in "town " for a coffee and browsing through it and taking a few notes. The hot chocolate is lovely and you get marshmellows.
