Was in PP's at lunchtime and saw they had a Placepot "offer", all the Racing Post Fav's at Exeter to be placed (6 races) 25/1.
There was a couple of dodgy looking handicaps but 2 or 3 looked "sure things"
so decided to "invest" a tenner.
Was checking the results online at work and discovered first 4 got placed :o.
5th race was McCoy's mount and had already backed it to win, mainly because it was the only ride AP had today so had to respect that.
McCoy wins :D so my 25/1 placepot is down to the last leg.
Checked Betfair and at 6/4 to be placed, I decided to hedge it.
Just as I went to click on the Lay button, in walks my boss :(.
After a quick chat that seemed to go for ever, he asks me to collect an important envelope from an office up the road , I can't say NO.
By the time I leave the building, the race is off so no chance of hedging.
Lash into bookies to watch the race on the way.
Looked certain of a place.......until 2 out when he starts to go backwards and eventually finishes 2nd last

Do have any comeback against my boss? :o

Give up the job its clearly affecting your gambling, we have to prioritise in a recession so the logical thing here is to quit the job, good man!
