I don't wish to be a smartass but get out and knock on farmers doors in the locality of where yu currently shoot.
You will be waiting along time for the landowners to come and make offers to you !
Besides you may well be pleasantly surprised at the mostly welcoming reaction from farmers only too happy to have someone offer to pest / vermin control

If the land you have been using all along has been good enough for the Gardai to give you licences why is there now a problem ?

This is more of the ****e we are being subjected to  All part of the plan to reduce the number of firearms in private possession.

Tell the Gardai your permission has been good enough all along so why now is there a problem.

Join a club or IFA countryside etc. If more people like you joined these organisations we would be in a stronger position to influence things and you wouldn't be getting this hassle then.

APPRECIATE ANY FEEDBACK AS REGARDS THE MATTER ,AS I WOULD FIND IT VERY HELPFULL!....KNOCKING ON FARMERS DOORS HERE IN DUBLIN, WICKLOW HASN'T WORKED SO FAR ,HOWEVER IM OPEN TO SUGGESTIONS...FRANKLY IM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE GARDS ATTITUDE REGARDS THE MATTTER,JUST LIKE SPEAKING TO THE WALL ! ...AND I KNOW THAT HERE THEY ARE INSTRUCTED TO GET TWO PERMISIONS BEFORE PROCESING , WHEN ON THE FORM YOU DO NOT HAVE TO DO THAT,ONLY AS ONE GARD SAID THEY WANT TO GET THE NUMBER OF GUNS HERE DOWN...

If ya fancy getting technical with the Gardai, you could point out that on the new renewal form, the requirement of two land permissions is only required if your looking for a limited shotgun license(which in my opinion is now pretty redundant).
On the other hand, they can still turn around and say that you still need to satisfy the super with the proper reasons for having the firearm.
If its still the same super that signed your last renewal, then maybe question what has changed when its still at his discretion?
Just some thoughts. Maybe ask for a meeting in person with the super.
I have a buddy who's pretty much going through the same thing, an I reckon its regular Gardai trying to keep themselves covered more than helping the guy getting the renewal.
    Your super might surprise ya!

I found things to be very similar once you have something to break ice normally a common interest sorts things out - good excuse for few pints, ;)
From my experience people are grand once they no somebody you know-
Then on other hand if you see signs just don't ask and shoot else where.
    Great to see things sorted!
(hey knock off caps lock its as if your shouting):D

Handy if you have something of interest to them. Such as a profession that they could find handy. I find all farmers will ask your profession to see whether you're any use to them:pac:
Sure it's nice to be nice.
