Second income - tax questions

I've been going a small amount of freelance work outside my full time job, and was just wondering how I go about declaring it.

I submitted my first invoice in February last year, and have submitted regular small invoices since then up til now.

Absolutely clueless about this kind of thing, so any help would be appreciated.

Basically you prepare a set of accounts for the 2nd income and complete a form 11 (assuming you have expenses in the 2nd income).

If you want to discuss it further send me a PM

Would you not register as being self-employed first by completing TR1?

As far as i know if you are a paye worker with other income under €50k gross then you can complete a Form 12 without registering for income tax however i have heard instances of people who go down this route then get a letter from Revenue stating that they must register for income tax.

    Hope this helps.
