    Here is my situation;

    24 on June 29th, 2010.
    Entering 3rd Year doing an Arts Degree.
    At present, I am living at home until I finish 2nd year.
    This Summer I am moving closer to my University and will be independent.
    I work part-time in a retail shop.
    Due to living at home with parents I am not eligible for a grant due to my parent's combined wages.

    Am i eligible for any sort of support in my 3rd and final year? If so, what can I expect? I am tired of being sidelined because of my parents wages as I never ask for help from them.

    Any help on this would be appreciated! Thanks!

    I think you have to be out of you parents for at least 6 months for the full higher education. There ther back to education but you have to be on the dole for 6 months before you qualify. The millenium fund is gone.

    Its a lot tighter out there at the moment I didnt think they could change the rules as much as they have.

    The higher education is probably the only one you`ll be able to apply for. It depends on how much you earned last year and if your independent or not. So you`ll have to move out before you apply and you`ll have to apply to the council that youve moved into also.

    Theres a mountain of forms good luck.
