i thought it was an amazing film,
kinda like the wire, with training day mixed in.
    pure tense and just fantastic

I thought it was a letdown as well. It had a lot of potential but untimately failed to deliver..

Though it wasn's so bad, you'd expect a lot more from a man that gave us Training Day. Always thought that the fight for most wooden actor would be between Kevin Costner and Charlton Heston... but now IMHO they have to contend with Richard Gere too. :P

Where did you see this? Release date for the States says March. Surely it would take longer to get over here?

To have included maybe one likeable character may have improved this movie greatly. It was definitely gritty enough and filled with tense scenes, not unlike Training Day, but that had Denzel in perfect form. Ethan Hawke's character has a more interesting story in BF than TD, but I actually found his Training Day character more interesting to watch.
