Did they show Richard Baneham getting his award?

I assume that even if The Door and Granny O'Grimm had won RTÉ wouldn't have made the effort to show their exceptance speeches. It would have been nice to at least have heard the names being read out for the nominations.

    .

They just mentioned it at the end when they listedthe "other" people that won, but premumably couldntr be fittted in to the highlights.

In fairness it seemed to be a pre-packaged show given to all stationsshowing highlights

They did this with once. If we have 4 nominations they should at least insure that they have a full clip to show of the nominations. 3 of the nominations were co-funded by RTÉ. You have to be up for best picture.

I assume that Best Animations were announced during the highlight show.

Watched bit of it and thought it was utter muck as per usual!

But the worst bit was when they put up celebrities to gush about their acting experiences with the nominees for Best Actor / Best Actress.

    What a load of balls!

Great to see Christoph Waltz getting the best supporting though, great performance.

Agreed. Way too lovey-dovey to stomach.

Although I did like seeing Bridges get his Oscar finally after 30 years or so of nominations.
