HSE Job Application

    Hi guys,
    friend filling out a job application form for the HSE and came accross a question which is a little confusing:

    "Mobility"
    Please give details which demonstrate how you intend to fulfil the mobility requriemnts of this post as described in the person specification"

    job isnt for people with disabilities or anything...what does it mean?

    i assume it means your ability to travel for the role?

    Hmmm the position doesnt require any travel...it is an admin/secretarial position...

    whats in the personal specification that you mentioned? any clues?

    Thats the thing..shes read it, ive read it...neither of us know what it means! There is nothing in the job spec that mentions anything about "mobility"...never ever read anything like this in 15 years of job applications...

    Probably a generic question that goes in to all forms, even for jobs that don't need it. Just say "not applicable".

    It means basically are you open to relocation etc?
    Always putting yes is a good answer :)
    We have it on our work CVs plus a number of countries we've be open to relocation to...should have been a "world" option for me :)

    but it doesnt say anything about relocation or anything about mobility in the job spec - its scretarial/switchboard work and it is like 4 lines long...like they are expecting a long response.

    She is scared to not put anything in, but scared to also put anything in...what a really really ****ty part to an application.
