FACT: Everyone is in a better mood when it's blue skies and sunny!

Long may it last, here's hoping to a long, hot summer! God knows, we deserve it! :D

Didn't notice that nice grass-y smell today.

I hated the weather today actually.. one of those days where it tricks you. 'Oh look, it's a lovely sunny day'. Once you get outside, 'Fuuuuuuuuuuuucking hell it's cold'

No clouds to insulate the heat you see.

Women look so much nicer when there's a bit of sun glowing off of them!

I look great in any situation..

the last couple of days have rocked! Although the glare when driving is a pain in the arse especially when facing the sun and stuck in an hour and a half of bumper to bumper traffic

I´m on the Costa del Sol, at the minute.

It was too fecking cold to enjoy it. Lack of clouds is good though, might take a look at the old sky.

Of course I don't notice the summery smell of people because I don't go around smelling them.

I've decided Ireland would be a much nicer place to live if was only for the six months March to August. I think I'm going have to invest in a second home in the Southern Hemisphere for the other half of the year.

    Didn't notice the smell... Yet

Its a shame today was so cold, last week really rocked, especially yesterday

Climate has a huge impact on quality of life. I reckon there wouldn't have been as big a hoo haa about this recession yoke if we had glaring sunshine for most of the year. Everyone feels immediately healthier in fine weather (except albino folk) and I know for a fact that I take better care of my body and what I put in it when I'm in sunny climes.

it hasnt actually been cold at all, walking to collage was fine, after 30 secs of walking its lovely!

im already planning when im going to go jogging again!

i have to agree with the poster above, ireland really is such a nice place to live when like this, just so peacefull..and the woman wearing skimpy clothes too!

going to the coast for the day having a couple pints and even festivals around the city and other places attract way more people

+1 Just about everyone on the Sunshine, Lollipops and Rainbows forum feels the same way. And I'm well prepared for the sun with a 500-litre bottle of SPF-2000 sunblock!

can't you remember last summer? it rained every day for months on end? remember? it was like monsoon season.
Winter seems to be much drier than summer, but it's freezing. So I don't know which is worse. It's just a nasty climate.
And at the weekend I saw a few people going around in shorts and t-shirts and flip flops ffs. It was about 4c out!!!!

When I try to visualise the weather of Dublin the first thing that comes to mind is Ireland football matches at Lansdowne/Croker. In this regard I can't think of a single daytime home match for us outside Mar-Aug where it was ever sunny. :( Obviously we get bad days in the Mar-Aug but it seems to be nothing but bad days in the Sep-Feb.

we got a week in June last summer. Rained for the rest of it. Met office said this was the sunniest period in Ireland since last June yesterday!

Oh and the fact that we play at night outside Mar-Aug might have something to do with the fact that it's never sunny!

Ah it's coming soon boys..... you gotta love it

    Tit Thursday...

Ah, Tit Thursday. The glorious day when, heading into work on the bus, walking to the tube, or sitting on the train, you find yourself suddenly chirpier than you have been in months. You find yourself smiling at strangers again. There is a mild involuntary tumescence in your trousers that comes and goes throughout the morning with the comforting regularity of a heartbeat.

And then you get a text around lunchtime from a mate which says: "At last, Tit Thursday!" And you instantly understand why you are so happy. For Tit Thursday is that special day in the year when, for the first time, the temperature rises above that magical point which causes girls getting dressed in the morning to decide to show a bit of skin.

After months of dull colours and chunky knit, the world's birds suddenly dive into last summer's wardrobe (they've not had chance to buy this season's stuff) and chuck it on without a thought. Your urban landscape is suddenly lightened with acres of naked arm and leg and, after many dark months of burrowing, breasts rising to the surface like moles at dusk.

Big breasts in white work shirts straining at the buttons. Small breasts, braless in vest tops, the nipples frotted by ribby fabrics. Breasts in summer dresses bouncing in the distance so that they catch your eye before you even notice there is someone wearing them. Breasts nudging out from the crowd at traffic islands, quivering to cross the road.

And you know it is nearly summer. For previous generations, the arrival of spring was heralded by the sound of the first cuckoo. For us, it is Tit Thursday.

Not that it always falls on a Thursday. Like Easter, Tit Thursday is a moveable feast. Last year it fell on a Monday. Monday 3rd April, to be precise, when temperatures maxed out at 22.1C after nothing much above 16C all year. It last fell on a Thursday in 2002, when temperatures leapt to 22C on 25th April.

And then, of course, there is Tit Thursday Night. You see, in early summer, temperatures drop off very dramatically when night falls (Tit Friday 2005 dropped away to a parky 11.8C). But the dollies are not prepared. Slightly stunned by the morning heat, they drag out the summer clothes but forget to bring a cardie (a mistake they will not make again until next year), so that when they're all standing outside All Bar One after work celebrating the arrival of spring, their barely covered nipples have no protection from the cold. It's like a Bring-and-Buy sale where everyone has brought hat pegs. It's like a prog-rock gig where, instead of lighters, everyone is holding up nipples.

So Tit Thursday has been and gone for 2009. Apologies for the lack of notification on the day itself but I was, as no doubt you were, far too busy taking in the sights and fully appreciating the wonders of Tit Thursday. It happens but once a year in it’s full glory. There will be days in the next few weeks and months when there are sights to behold. However, there is only one Tit Thursday. The day when the realization kicks in. We have weeks and weeks of flesh and breasts to look forward to. Attractive girls look fantastic, average girls start moving into your top tens and even the ugly girl who sits opposite you on the tube suddenly has something about her……well 2 things really

Sunny days are great, but not these ones as the women are still wearing too much.
The sunny days from May on are the real ones, when the Polish/Lithuanian girls go around wearing the minimum :)
Ok we have lost a few sadly, but seems a few are still around. Bring on the sun anyway in May and then we can see real effect of the recession = how many less hot birds are around this year compared to before. These are the stats that matter.

I love sunny days but they are hell when you're driving home to or from work as the sun is always low in the sky, blinded me and nearly crashed.
