    Is a dealer obliged to tell you if a car you are purchasing has been damaged as a result of a collision?

    If he knows about the history of the car, and you ask him specific questions, then he obliged to let you know.

    I think he has to answer any questions asked honestly or else he may be guilty of misrepresenting the product. I'm not so sure he must volunteer the information un-asked.

    Best bet, always ask and get a written assurance.
