I think if you have been working in the same position from any day upto and including the first working day of October until the end of the school year you will get paid for the summer. ie. if you started on the 10th of Oct until the end of the year you would not get paid. If however you are made permanent - like you -I think you will be entitled to payment for the summer with a confirmation letter. Your best bet is to ring payroll and find out. Having dealt with them before , you might want to ring a few times to get the same story off a few different people. Comhghairdeas leat!

As your contract will be carried on in september you will get paid. It's just a matter of whether you'll get paid fortnightly during summer or have it all backdated in september/october

you will get the money backpaid in september not during the summer.
