    Hi,

I have an Interview for Business and ICT in Manchester Metropolitan on the 16th of June. On track all it says is Interview.

Will I be getting further details in the post about this or via email?

Has anyone had an Interview with MMU yet, and what happens at it, is it just a one on one or a group..

    What is the college like?

I don't have any information, but I do have a request.

Would it be possible for you to update this and let me know how everything goes for you. I am very interested in doing my PGCE / PGDE next year and Manchester would be one of the Uni's I would be considering and as I have a Masters in Marketing and hons degree in Business it would be similar to you.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I will let you know how I get on. The Interview isn't until the 16th of June though. I have to apply for a few Masters in Finance here as well as I can't be dependent on this for September.

Hi I had an interview in MMU back in December there for Secondary geography, you should get details about the interview 2-4 weeks before your interview.

The formats for interviews is different for every subject but subjects that they ask min each include Special Educational Needs students, ICT, Knowledge of the National Curriculum, equal opportunities, the obvious question of what makes a good teacher and stuff. They give ypu directions to the college too :D

For geog we had a group interview first which was relaxed, we all said beforehand that we'd help each other and not compete against each other. Then we had a single interview but really I felt I had answered everything in the group interview, they could ask anything like!

Didbury campus is small enough, I didn't get a good look around the place but it seems grand, you spend more time in placement schools than in the college so they recommend you to get housing away from the college.

Having experience in a secondary school is vital too, even a few days cos English people are big into work experience, loads worked as teaching assistants during college and took years out to work in schools before doing the PGCE. I only had a few days in my old school done so my offer is on condition that I get a weeks work exp in an English state school before atarting the course.

If you want to know anything else just ask :)

Hey there, I have applied for the same course and have been given the same interview date. I think you'll find this course is down in Crewe not up in Manchester.

I'm from that way at the moment and it's not the best town in the world, in fact it's pretty dire but it's what you make it I suppose.

If you have any questiions about Crewe please just ask, and I'll see you on 16th June!
