    sorry being a bit nosey but i took a look at my pay slip there, before tax i earn €3050 and after tax its €2200, thats just ridiculous i reckon, i'm a public sector worker btw

    Weekly? Fortnightly? Monthly?

    Give us a clue......

    Is that figure after all deductions btw or just PAYE/PRSI

    Thats a monthly wage with all deductions, there's no more room on paylsip for deductions

    loads of cash there. you shouldn't have any problems with that wage bill. more than twice my monthly income if it makes you feel better?

    thats a really good take home. I own my own business and just about get your net as my gross pay.

    Taxes hey, we should ban them all. But wait, where would you get your "ridiculous" €2,200 per month take home pay from.....

    Let me know when you want to swap jobs

    Imagine if you had to pay the full cost of your pension!!

    You'd be down to about €1500 a month then:(

    Private sector, 31, single, no dependents or mortgage

    €4,766.66 gross and €3,333.07 net per month plus travelling expenses and xmas bonus...around the €60k pa..no increase since Nov 2008 and spent 6 months last year on a 3 day week

    Between tax and pension at the min amt i pay 800 in deductions per month, take home 2083 euro.

    Was on 38k pa, but had to take a whopping 50% cut in wages nearly a year ago, so now on 19k pa and struggling...:(

    About €1770 before tax (not a lot thank god), 35 living with partner, 1 baby, pension on hold nearly a year, VHI etc abandoned.

    Tight isn't the word, started a new job with a new start-up a year ago, took over a 25% pay reduction compared to my last job, looking at this as an investment in my future, fingers crossed I'm right.
