Hi, Does anybody know if it is compunsary for your car to be taxed when you take it to the NCT test centre or will they refuse it??

As far as i know it has to be taxed or they wont even look at it.

in theory you need an NCT to tax the car so no i doubt they can...you might need to take it there on a trailer though (or arrive before they do...)

Put a car thru last week that was never taxed, imported. Maybe worth
ringing them to see for definite.

No your car does not need to be taxed for the nct test

Not required as far as I'm aware, had to NCT a car a while back to tax it.

No need for tax for the nct, I have nct'd two cars with no tax.
