I am heading up to Belfast this weekend with some friends and we are looking for a pub with a good atmosphere to watch the Ireland V Wales game on Saturday afternoon - any suggestions?

The Botanic Inn....it will be full of people so if you don't like being crowded don't go there, but if you're looking for atmosphere this is the place!(Malone Rd)

    The King's Head
The Errigal - I went here for the France match and it wasn't great tbh
    McHughs (near the Albert clock)

The King's Head and the Errigal are too far away for someone visiting Belfast. The Botanic Inn would be my recommendation and failing that the Globe (University Road - just down from the Botanic Inn)would also be decent if you want somewhere smaller.

Was looking at the sites and I like the location of McHughs. Is the food good in McHughs?

I've eaten in McHughs restaurant upstairs and it's lovely, haven't had the "pub lunch" menu.

The pub is v.nice and fairly central to the city centre. The last time I watched the rugby it was shown downstairs, the place was quite busy so get there on time/early
