Portable multitrack with midi in - does one exist?

Hi im looking for a portable small multitrack recorder with a midi in to play samples live with a midi footswitch.....if anyone can tell me if such a thing exists it would be great....as my only other option is getting into expensive complex sampler land....:)

The Yamaha AW4416 had pads on the front for triggering samples. It's not small, and ou'd have to download the manual to see if it allows triggering from a pedal. So maybe some of the later Yamahas had the same feature? Do some research

trigger movie samples and wierd noises with a single footswitch live...just go over to multitrack after each song and change the sample to be played backk...fairly basic...

(afaik this isnt possible with a sampler as footswitch is mapped to a single midi note only so only one sample can be played....)

You could go the Taurus pedal route.

If you know what I mean.

Most have a Midi in that you can trigger a track easily with.

I've got two porto studio things. Both can be triggered by an incoming midi single.

Actually 3 porto type things.

Yes, the "Taurus pedals" with a sampler is best. These for example:

thanks, i have a pk-5...but its overkill for what i need...and id also like the drummer to trigger different samples with a single drum pad, but i guess thats not possible either strangely enough....
