Wrong Passport Details

I am organising a large group to travel away with ryanair.

Upon doing the online check-in, we have come across with 4 mistakes. All of these are related to the date of birth, with the day and month mixed up in an excel spreadsheet. My quesiton is, will this be an issue if we arrive at the airport with these details wrong?

The boarding cards do have the date of birth, passport number or expiry date printed on them. Do ryanair do any other checks with the passport or is it just a glance at the gate?

They are unlikely to notice, once the names match you should be fine.

Blame the silly American date system for it all ending up the wrong way round.

    Hi

Where are you going to? Ryanair charge 100 euro to make changes to errors put in on the online checkin. This however is mostly for errors on the name of a passenger as it must be the exact same as is on the passport. You may get away with it but they could check. I would contact them directly to make sure as they have the right to refuse you entry on the plane if your details are wrong.

    Hope this helps

I wouldnt say anything, if they notice something at the desk play dumb.
Worst case they will charge you to update the details.

The only reason the airlines care so much about the passport is that they will get fined if they deliver someone to a country who then gets refused entry on landing. The gate staff are not performing a proper passport check, it is just a quick glance to briefly make sure that the person named on the boarding card matches the name in te passport you hand them and then onto the next person to get the plane loaded and on it's way ASAP.

I can't see you having any problems, but if your really nervous about it then phone them up and potentially pay for the changes.

Ok, so I shouldn't bother changing the details then? I really dont want to if i dont have to. I just dont see where they check. They dont scan the passports at the gate or anything, and the boarding cards dont have any of the details. So really, there is no checking done other than with the name

I never bothered to look that closely at any of my boarding cards so I thought you'd said that they DID have the d.o.b. details on them in the OP so took your word for it.

If they do not have the detail printed on them then there is absolutely no way that the Ryanair gate staff will be able to tell the difference, or care.
