    Hi,
I putting in 100m face limestone cills into my new build and I'm about to buy them, the only question I have left is whether to go with the sloped or flat versions. Has anyone got experience of this? I prefer the flat look but am concerned about water ingress and ponding....should I be?
    Thanks.

I had to make the same discission a few months ago. I went for the sloped limestone cill with the upstand cut into cill not stuck on also had the grove cut in under the cill as well.
I saw a flat cill which had been fitted incorrectely and they were about to remove it as the block layers had put it in TOO level and the water was coming in at the back just uder the window where the upstand had been stuck on. From what I can remember the flat cills have to be tilted slightly by using slate or something similar.
The flat cill with stuck on upstand is much cheaper as there is alot more work cutting the slope cill from one piece. Hope this is some help

    Thanks Redonly.

I've basically got 2 companies left in the running, 1 offering sloped and fully cut section and the other the flat cill with a glued upstand who assures me that with correct installation and a slight fall I will have no issues.

I'm annoyed that the company offering me the sloped will also sell me a flat rectangular section with no upstand, even though they don't normally do this section and expect it to cause issues with water....and expect me to just go ....eh ok sure I'll buy this product that doesn't work
