    Hey all,

I am currently shopping for a monitor for my 13inch Macbook Pro. Looking for a 23inch or above ...

My aim is to connect up my laptop when at home so I can work on my desk with my wireless keyboard & mouse more comfortably...

Recommendations please ... Budget is between 200-300euros ...

I would love an Apple Cinema display but unfortunately these are out of reach on my budget :(

I am seriously considering this 24inch Samsung display from Pixmania : LINK

Let me know what you think, thanks in advance!

generally can't go wrong with samsung monitors,

although it's 7 euro more expensive i'd buy it here http://www.komplett.ie/k/ki.aspx?sku=490765 as komplett are miles better in terms of pre/post sales service than pixmania in fact i'd stay away from pixmania all together if i was you.

Cant go wrong with that for the price! Full HD resolution...but they only give the dynamic contrast ratio....Samsungs are generally top notch though.

    Thanks for the quick replies!

Yes I agree this Samsung is one fantastic looking machine, all the reviews I have read cannot rate it highly enough.

Thanks for advice @Creamy_Goodness regarding Komplett, have posted in their forum so hope for a reply tomorrow. How reliable/fast are these guys shipping wise ...?

I have used Pixmania before, and cannot praise them highly enough. When I opted for Express delivery I received my items within 24hours!! Was very impressed...

Have a look at the bargain alerts forum. Pixmania are fine when it all goes right......when it goes wrong, though, is a different story. I certainly would never use them again.

    akadesign!

That is a nice Dell but from a quick comparison the Samsung P2450H specs seem to be better, do you agree ?

I came across this 23inch Samsung P2370 which Komplett currently have on offer ... Which do you think is the better monitor ? In comparison to the P2450H....

    P2370 VS P2450H

dell generally use one of the big four LCD panel manufacturers for their screens i.e. they'll rebrand a samsung/song/lg/phillips screen.

komplett are great in my books, sometimes they can be a little bit more expensive but their delivery is always spot on (ordered a pair of wireless headphones on monday, they were on my desk two days later). they also have a pick up point in dublin that you can pick up your order for free.

pixmania are ok if everything goes fine, but the horror stories from boards users have put me off for life.
