Cycling 9 months (on and off!!). Did the Sean Kelly 100 last August, furthest I've done so far. Few c.90k, lots of 50-75k rides. Has taken me a while to get going this year though with the weather etc (the usual excuses, ye know yourself).

Anyway, been challenged by a few bigmouths to give the Wicklow a go. Having read the messageboards I'm petrified at the thought of it. Is it as bad as it sounds?

Used to cycling solo, keeping my own company, but 8hrs+ could do my head in unless I know I've proper prep put in. Is it possible to get sufficient quality Ks in between now and the big day and could anyone recommend a daily/weekly plan; or should I just forget it for this year?

    Thanks:confused:

im also cycling with a guy thats strong and is pushing me every day out.

i have joined a club and have found this a big help . we will have the long eves at the end of the month thank feck and thats when i will start doing the evening spins .

the mt leinster challenge is on before it ,do the 160k that will be a good introduction to that type of spin .

Easily possible to get prepared between now and the WW200, you're still 6 weeks before i got my first road bike last year....so if cycling for 9 months already you should be fine. Just try work up your hilly miles between now and then
