There was an interesting documentary shown last week on RTE One entitled On God's Mission that "charts the epic story of the origins, impact and legacy of the Irish Missionary Movement." Ac a non-Catholic I found it fascinating to learn a little about the Missions - their naivety and their mistakes as well as the good they did - and the support they had amongst the public.

Part one (of two) can be view on Rte Player until the 23 March. Part two is aired on Tuesday of this week.
