Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Gas control panel - hot water works, central heating doesn't!

Can't bring myself to blame the boiler here, as turning the hot water on and off correctly activates and deactivates the gas burner respectively.

This has happened before and I just switched on the hot water (activating the burner), waited a little bit, activated the central heating and then by deactivating the hot water, I had a short gap between the burner turning off and on again, restoring the central heating operation. This time, no luck.

I even reset the control panel (set the time and all other timers as before) to no avail.

Could it actually be the boiler though...?

Sounds like a motorised valve not opening, if you can find it, you can usually
    override temporarily.

That or if it's an older system it could be one with gravity hot water & pumped radiators... have you checked the pump is running?
