Belly bands

We were talking with a trainer/breeder in Canada re threads here about training.

She uses belly bands - male dogs only.

It helps so much, as with older incontinent dogs and they are easy to make.

A strip of material, with velcro and a small disposable sanitary pad.

Probably an American invention; one family describes on a weblog how they keep geese as indoor pets. They put a harness on them so they can wear nappies.....

Have hear of a few people using them, they are also (apparently) very useful to use with dogs that mark all the time. They look like a sock with a sanitary pad in them held in place with a strip of velcro. Have never used them myself but they do look quite odd!
